Spuyten Duyvil recently entertained at a media event in its hallowed Rosen House Music Room, known for housing the Renaissance artifacts collection.

The music series will break new programming ground at Caramoor and test its efforts to expand its audience.

“I will admit it is a bit experimental,” said James A. Attwood Jr., the Caramoor board chairman. “We’re going to keep trying things and see how they work.”

The series, which will open with a solo turn by the Grammy-winning singer and instrumentalist Tim O’Brien, is the first major sign of change under Haydon, 38, who assumed his post in September. Read about his appointment in an earlier story on The Bedford Daily Voice.

“Roots Music in the Music Room” with Tim O’Brien will be at 8 p.m. April 13 at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, 149 Girdle Ridge Road, Katonah. Tickets cost $35. For Information, call 914-232-5035 or vist caramoor.org.
