Bedford Library Encourages Kids To Dig Summer Reading

BEDFORD, N.Y. - Summer is a time of beaches, barbecues and - if the Bedford Library has its way - books.

The Bedford Library is encouraging children to read this summer.

The library's Dig Into Reading program is for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. The program allows children to track their reading online or keep their own reading log, which the library provides.

For every hour a student reads or is read to, he or she will earn a sticker. For every two hours, the child will earn a raffle ticket for the chance to win games, gift certificates, books and more.

Raffle tickets must be in by Monday, Aug. 12 at 6 p.m.
