BEDFORD, N.Y. —A showing of the film "The Muppets," a college singing jamboree and a day of pumpkin picking are some of the events happening around Bedford this weekend.

Friday, Oct. 5

Movie at the Library: "The Muppets": 2 p.m. Watch "The Muppets" (rated G) at the library. Bring your own movie snack. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the film. Katonah Village Library, 26 Bedford Road, Katonah.

Sacred Chant Event: 7 p.m. This yoga and meditation workshop with live music features instructor Jai-Jagdeesh. Golden Temple Yoga Studio, 223 Katonah Ave., Katonah.

Saturday Oct. 6

St. Matthew's College Jamboree: 5 p.m. Join friends and neighbors for the Third Annual St. Matthew's College Jamboree featuring some of the best a cappella groups in the Northeast, including the Barnard Bacchantae, Princeton Tigertones, Smith Smiffenpoofs and Yale Whiffenpoofs. Pumpkin Picking at Muscoot Farm: Noon to 3 p.m. This weekend, Muscoot Farm is hosting a pumpkin-picking event to benefit the Friends of Muscoot Farm, an organization that supports the care of the farm’s animals, its education programs for children and the preservation of its historic buildings. The event also be Monday. Admission is free and hay rides are $2 per person. Muscoot Farm, 51 Route 100, Katonah.

Westchester Oratorio "Sweet 16" Celebration: 3 p.m. Members of the Westchester Oratorio Society will celebrate the group’s “Sweet Sixteenth” anniversary with a fundraiser for its new season. The afternoon of music and food will feature pianist and composer John Alan Rose and his wife, soprano Sing Rose, performing selections from Mozart, Liszt and Debussy.
