Muscoot Farm Filled With November Family Activities

Join naturalist and owl expert Frank Gallo on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for a nocturnal hike to call these elusive birds. Bring a flashlight and meet in the activities building.

On Saturday Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Linda Miller from Westchester Area Basketmakers Guild will be on hand to teach the art of the Shaker Style Double Wall Market Basket. Fees are $50 for members and $60 for non-members, plus a #30 materials fee. Register here.  

Master blacksmith Bill Fitzgerald will hold a workshop to teach the age-old craft on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fee is $85 and registration is required. Call (914) 864-7286.

On Sunday, Nov. 17 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., you can join learn about the turkeys that live here at Muscoot by joining the Muscoot 4H Club for the afternoon. There will also be games, crafts and cider making.

Crafters can make their own holiday decorations on Sunday, Nov. 24 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Muscoot's Junior Volunteers will lead the activity.

Muscoot Farm is a Westchester County park located on Route 100 in Somers.
