Katonah's John Jay Homestead Presents Underground Railroad Lecture

KATONAH, N.Y. -- John Jay Homestead is presenting a lecture with Eric Foner on the "Gateway to Freedom: The Hidden History of the Underground Railroad," at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5.

A reception is set for 6 p.m., a presentation will follow at 7 p.m. and dinner at 8:15 p.m. 

Foner is the DeWitt Clinton professor at Columbia University. He is one of the country's most prominent and influential historians, specializing in the Civil War and Reconstruction. He is the author of a number of award-winning books and articles. He is a curator and advisor to television shows and history exhibits at parks.
