Artwork has begun to go up around the Caramoor grounds as well as at all five of the partner locations. Piano wires are being strung between trees on Caramoor’s center walk for Eli Kesler’s "Catenary," which functions as both a stand-alone installation and a framework for performance. While the installation will be up for the entirety of the exhibition, artist Eli Kezsler will perform the piece only on this day of celebration.
Stephan Moore’s "Diacousticon" has begun assembly around the Sense Circle. Annea Lockwood and Bob Bielecki’s "Wild Energy" can be heard in the preliminary stages along Caramoor’s Cedar Walk.
Sounds previously unheard by human ears can be experienced bouncing off the trees.
In the Garden of Sonic Delights is an exhibition of sound art. The kickoff celebration will offer a day-filled with festivities. For a full schedule and for more information, click here.
