The concert will be held in the Rosen House and it is being held as a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the completion of the house.
Visitors can celebrate the anniversary with a performance featuring the Rosens’ own instruments of choice, the theremin and piano. Schwimmer will be playing both instruments.
Following the concert, tour the Rosen House that is filled with the Rosens’ treasures. A buffet lunch will follow.
Schwimmer is a composer pianist/keyboardist, thereminist and Continuum player who has performed and recorded throughout the world. He is one of the top theremin virtuosos in the world and was recently featured on CBS Sunday Morning, the popular PBS series “History Detectives,” as well as in The NY Times and Wall St Journal.
Schwimmer's compositions have been featured in theater, television series and movies, silent films, documentaries and feature films.
He composed the score for Cynthia Wade’s 2008 Academy award-winner, “Freeheld” in the documentary short category, as well as David Frankel’s Oscar winner “Dear Diary” for Dreamworks (their first Oscar) in the live action short category in 1997.
