At least one Amazon employee at a Mercer County warehouse reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus, increasing the reported total in New Jersey to three on Monday. Construction Worker Falls To His Death At Florham Park Job Site
A construction worker fell 30 to 35 feet to his death at a Florham Park job site Wednesday, authorities said. The worker sustained head trauma after falling at the 90 Park Ave. job site -- where luxury homes and condominiums are being built -- around 5:20 p.m., Florham Park police said. Life-saving attempts by emergency responders were unsuccessful and the worker was pronounced dead at the hospital. The worker's identity is not being released pending family notification. The incident is being investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and local police.

Unlicensed Bulldozer Driver Charged In Death Of North Bergen Recycling Plant Worker, 61
A 38-year-old North Bergen recycling plant trolly cart operator was charged in the death of his 61-year-old coworker, authorities said. Santiago Ventura Blanco was operating a bulldozer and pushing a concrete dumpster at Lincoln Recycling on Dell Avenue when Horacio Juarez Diaz was pinned between the dumpster and a wall Thursday afternoon, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Battery Explodes At Fair Lawn Pasta Factory, Injuring Worker
A battery on a piece of construction equipment in a Fair Lawn warehouse exploded Monday night, sending a worker flying, authorities said. The 45-year-old victim was charging the forklift attery at Zerega and Sons on Broadway around 7 p.m. when it exploded, knocking him back about 10 feet, police Sgt. Brian Metzler said. The worker was taken to St. Joseph's University Medical Center with back, arm and leg injuries, Metzler said. Fair Lawn police, firefighters, Heavy Rescue and Ambulance Corps members responded.

Workers Burned In Explosion At Carlstadt Cosmetics Plant
A mixture at a Carlstadt cosmetics plant exploded Tuesday, seriously injuring a worker, authorities said. The 58-year-old employee was taken to St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston after she was burned in the explosion at JCS Global Distribution around 1 p.m., Detective Sgt. John Cleary said. A 53-year-old laborer was conscious after falling three stories Friday from a scaffold outside a Tenafly condominium complex, authorities said. Worker's Arm Impaled In Little Ferry Workplace Accident
An employee was bleeding severely when he was rushed to the hospital after his arm was impaled on a metal bar in a Little Ferry workplace accident Monday afternoon, authorities said. A pallet holding a radiator was being moved on a forklift when the worker tried to get out of its way and was injured around 3:30 p.m., Police Lt. Ronald Klein Jr. said. The victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center. "Workers put a tourniquet on him," Klein said. "But he lost a lot of blood." His condition couldn't immediately be determined. Worker, 60, Dies In Fall At Site Of Former Clifton Nightclub
A 60-year-old worker died after he fell 20 feet from a scaffold Monday afternoon in Clifton. The victim had been part of a crew that's transforming the former Bliss nightclub on Allwood Road into an attorney's office. Responders said the victim sustained a skull fracture. First-responders from throughout the region took part in an intricate rescue Monday to save the life of a man entrapped when a trench collapsed at a Pequannock work site. The incident began around 9 a.m. on Lincoln Road near the Knights of Columbus Hall, where the person was buried up to the waist, said Jerry Speziale, the police director for the city of Paterson. A worker at a Ridgefield dairy plant suffered broken bones and cuts when his arm got caught in a machine that he was cleaning before dawn Tuesday, authorities said. Forklift Operator Killed In Elmwood Park Industrial Mishap
A 59-year-old forklift operator was killed Thursday when it fell on top of him in an Elmwood Park factory, authorities said. Lin Yi Hui of Brooklyn was operating the forklift when he got too close to the edge of a ramp, Police Cheif Michael Foligno said. The forklift began to tip -- ejecting Hui -- before it fell on top of him, hitting his head, Foligno said. Hui was pronounced dead at the scene.
