EMT's Mom Gets Meal Train Rollin' For Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad

Fair Lawn Teen Honors Dad's Memory
As he rushed to a Fair Lawn house fire on Wednesday, a young volunteer carried with him a heavy heart. Junior Fair Lawn Firefighter Terrance Pridmore, 17, “dropped everything to help out with the fire even though his dad passed away last month,” his mother said after the Oak Street blaze. The wake for Terrance Pridmore Sr. was Thursday evening at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne, NJ 07506. 11 Years Running: Upper Saddle River PBA Fills Christmas Wish Lists For Needy Children
For the 11th consecutive year, members of Upper Saddle River PBA Local #218 participated in CUMAC’s Christmas Wish-List program for needy youngsters. CUMAC, located in Paterson, is a non-for-profit dedicated to alleviating hunger in Passaic County and throughout New Jersey. PBA Local #218 received 20 holiday wishes from needy children of all ages -- for toys, books, jackets, diapers and more. There’s still time to contribute or volunteer. Youngsters gasped as Ramsey Rescue members sawed off doors and roofs of vehicles during a pair of mock vehicle extrications over the weekend. Applause at ScoutFest erupted at one point as a roof was removed. As entertaining as it was, the demonstration at Darlington County Park in Mahwah was still “a sobering visual to these youngsters about the risks of distracted and impaired driving, which is deadly serious business,” Ramsey Rescue President Michael Yevchak said.
