Mahwah Schools Superintendent Announces Retirement Mahwah Schools Supt. C. Lauren Schoen officially announced her retirement on Monday. The district Board of Trustees will vote on a resolution accepting Schoen's resignation at its meeting this Wednesday, Schoen said. Her last official day in the district will be Aug. 1, the superintendent said. Schoen said in a letter to parents that her time in Mahwah "has been filled with a great many district-wide successes and outstanding student achievements." Shark Tank Winners, Hunterdon County Army Sisters Launch Holiday Pop-Up Shop A pair of Hunterdon County sisters who launched their business with help from NBC's "Shark Tank" are holding a holiday pop-up in Flemington. East Amwell natives Paige Dellavalle and Ashley Dellavalle Jung got a $150,000 cash infusion in exchange for a 35 percent share of the business in 2013. The sisters both attended West Point with a major in management and minor in systems engineering.  Although Jung was deployed in Afghanistan between March 2007 and 2008, a sudden shoulder injury kept Dellavelle from serving in a combat zone.
