North Bergen Gunman Sentenced In 'Execution Style' NY Apartment Shooting A 19-year-old gunman from North Bergen has been sentenced to state prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the 2019 shooting death of a Hudson Valley man. Jayden Rodriguez was sentenced to 19 years in state prison to be followed by a period of five years post-release supervision, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh. The crime took place on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019, when Rodriguez entered a Spring Valley apartment building and proceeded to fire numerous shots at Emerson Jean-Baptiste, 20, ultimately causing his death, the DA's Office said. Rockland Men Charged With Stalking, Posting Personal Info Of North Jersey Police Officers Two Rockland men waged a harassment campaign against dozens of North Jersey police officers, researching and posting personal information about them online through what’s known as “doxing,” Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said Wednesday. Rockland Father Charged In Beating Of 5-Month-Old Now Hospitalized A man is behind bars for beating a 5-month-old baby, breaking ribs and causing a skull fracture, according to the Spring Valley Police Department. Jonathan Castillo was arrested after Child Protective Services were notified by officials at Westchester Medical Center that the child had been admitted with serious injuries, Spring Valley Police Officer Matthew Gail said.  A joint investigation by the police department and protective services was initiated and ended with the arrest of Castillo, said Gail.  He was charged with assault and criminal contempt and is being held on $500,000 bail.
