Body Washes Up On Fort Lee Shoreline, Prosecutor's Office Says
A death investigation is underway after a body was found along the shoreline at Ross Dock in Fort Lee, authorities said. The Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department responded to Ross Dock — a popular picnicking and walking area — at approximately 10:58 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, after the discovery was made, Bergen County Prosecutor Deputy Chief of Detectives Jeff Angermeyer said. HEROES: A group of good Samaritans rushed to a driver's aid Thursday after his ice cream truck tumbled partly down the Palisades above the Hudson River in Fort Lee. GWB Jumper's Body Recovered From Hudson
Rescuers recovered the body of a 21-year-old man who jumped to his death Thursday afternoon from the lower level of the George Washington Bridge. Port Authority police who heard an NYPD alert of a possible suicidal person at the George Washington Bridge found an abandoned vehicle on the Manhattan-bound side shortly after noon, authority spokeswoman Lenis Rodrigues said. Less than 10 minutes later, officers "saw a man floating in the Hudson River below the westbound side of the bridge," she said. This British Billionaire Just Parked His Superyacht In Bergen County
A $300 million yacht owned by British investor Joe Lewis is parked just north of the George Washington Bridge on the Hudson River. The powerful Abeking & Rasmussen flagship yacht can be seen from Ross Dock and boasts a paddle tennis court, hidden cinema and tons and tons of balconies. Lewis currently lives in the Bahamas and is estimated to be worth $5.3 billion.
