Man Holds Ex-Employer Hostage, Threatens To Have His Pit Bull Attack In Bergen County: Cops
A Rockland County man is being held in the Bergen County jail after police said he held his former employer and coworkers hostage, demanding money and threatening them with his dog.
Police were called to a business suite on Broad Street in Norwood around 1:50 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, where Wayne Gordon, of New City, NY had come in with his pit bull, removed the dog's muzzle, and threatened to have the dog attack them if they didn't pay him $7,000 that he claimed he was owed, Norwood Police Chief Christopher Federici said.

Ring Member Admits Snatching $1.5M Worth Of High-End Vehicles In NJ, Rockland, CT, Long Island
The last of four men caught stealing more than $1.5 million worth of luxury cars in New Jersey, Rockland County, Long Island and Connecticut took a guilty plea on Thursday, federal authorities announced.
Like his pals, Malik Baker, 29, of Vauxhall, NJ, took a deal from the government, pleading guilty in federal court in Newark on Oct. 19 to conspiring to transport stolen vehicles in interstate commerce and receiving a stolen vehicle that had crossed state lines after being stolen.
U.S. District Judge Esther Salas scheduled Baker's sentencing for March 7, 2024.

Two Rockland men waged a harassment campaign against dozens of North Jersey police officers, researching and posting personal information about them online through what’s known as “doxing,” Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said Wednesday.
Evan V. Koulikov, 21, of Spring Valley “unlawfully accessed a secure database of a New Jersey medical services company and unlawfully copied the personal identifying information of approximately 50 public employees,” most of them police officers, Musella said.

SUV Driver Sentenced For Crash That Killed Rockland Couple
A 24-year-old Nanuet man was sentenced to four to 12 years in prison for killing a New City couple in a car crash in June while he was high on Xanax and other drugs.Matthew Sindone, who pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated vehicular homicide last year, was sentenced Tuesday in Rockland County Court in New City.
Neil Block, 69, and his wife Aline Block, 68, of New City, were killed when Sindone, driving a black Lincoln MKT, ran a red light on Route 304 at the intersection of Goebel Road, slamming into their Toyota Camry, said Officer Peter Walker with the Clarkstown Police Department.
