Another H2oi Arrest Made With More Possibly On The Way Yet another arrest has been made in the deadly H2oi meetup held last month in Wildwood and authorities say more could be on the way. Zion Diaz, of Hammonton, told others to block intersections, perform "burnouts" and block police vehicles from responding to emergency calls the night of Sept. 24, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland said. Diaz was arrested without incident and was charged with riot, a crime of the 4th degree. Bayonne Man Charged In Hit-Run That Seriously Injured 31-Year-Old Jersey City Woman A Bayonne man was charged in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a 31-year-old Jersey City woman earlier this year, authorities said. On March 24, the woman was crossing Palisade Avenue just south of Bowers Street in Jersey City Heights when she was struck by a four-door sedan driven by Magdy Botros, 51, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Salvatore Bonodonna, 28, received summonses when Garfield police caught him after the crippled sedan hit another parked car on Market Street. The 2008 Cadillac CTS lost its front passenger wheel when it hit a parked car on 7th Street in Saddle Brook around 5 a.m., Police Chief Robert Kugler said. Fiery Accident Shuts Rt. 7 In Kearny A section of Rt. 7 in Kearny was closed Wednesday morning because of a downed utility pole caused by a motor-vehicle crash hours earlier.  The lanes were closed in both directions between Schuyler Avenue and Ridge Road, according to the DOT.  A witness who saw the accident early this morning and other witnesses quoted in a published report said a woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Serious Crash Causes Lengthy Delays On PIP This story has been updated. A serious motor-vehicle crash caused delays of a half-hour or more on a stretch of the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Rockland on Saturday. The crash, reported shortly before noon, occurred southbound at Exit 11 (New Hempstead Road) with stopped traffic at the scene and stop-and-go delays to Exit 13 (Route 202).  Farther south, there was stop-and-go traffic with delays of 20 minutes on northbound I-87 after a crash at Exit 12 (Route 303), with delays to Exit 9 (Route 9).  Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Serious I-84 Crash In Fishkill Prompts Police Warning To Motorists Emergency responders rushed to the scene of a motor-vehicle crash late Sunday afternoon on I-84 in Dutchess County that prompted a warning to motorists by state police. There were no serious injuries in the crash in East Fishkill, police said. "Please drive carefully, and if you miss your exit, do not back up," police said. "Get off at the next exit, and find the most appropriate route to your destination." Troopers were assisted by the East Fishkill Fire Department and Mobile Life Support Services.
