Elizabeth Nursing Homes Report 45 Resident Deaths More than 4,000 residents of New Jersey longterm care facilities have tested positive for COVID-19 -- including 45 residents in Elizabeth, officials say. Elizabeth Mayor Chris Bollwage has offered two vacant convents, as well as a sports arena, for some of the healthy residents to relocate to safety and out of potential exposure.
