Police Say Short Hills Man Was Driving At 142 MPH: Report
A man from Short Hills was arrested in New Hampshire for allegedly driving more than 70 mph over the speed limit, The Boston Globe reported. Eric Joseph, 51, was headed home when state police pulled over his 2018 Jeep Cherokee on I-95 Saturday morning. Joseph was traveling at 142 mph, more than double the posted speed limit of 65 mph, according to police. Joseph was charged with reckless operation and is scheduled to appear in court in September.

Tour Van In Fatal Mass. Crash May Have Had NJ Passengers
A tour van operated by a company catering to Polish-Americans that picked up passengers in New Jersey crashed in Massachusetts Saturday, killing two people, State Police there said. The people killed were identified only as two adult males. State Police said Saturday identification of the victims was "ongoing." UPDATE: A box truck driver from Jersey City was killed in a crash with a tractor-trailer on I-95 early Monday that kept the express lanes of the NJ Turnpike closed in Teaneck, authorities said. The ramp from the eastbound express lanes to the northbound Turnpike was also closed after the ShopRite tractor-trailer slammed into the box truck at the DeGraw Avenue overpass just before 6:50 a.m., Trooper Alejandro Goez said. North Jersey Man, 21, Fatally Struck By Car-Carrier On NJ Turnpike
A 21-year-old Paterson man was fatally struck by a tractor-trailer early Monday morning when he got out of his car in a crossover lane on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. Tyrell Henry was stopped in a crossover section for I-95 and Route 80 on the southbound lane of the turnpike in Ridgefield Park when he walked into a travel lane and was struck by a car carrier, operated by a 63-year-old man from Patchogue, N.Y., NJ State Police said. The incident occurred just before 3 a.m. and is under investigation, police said.

FORT LEE, N.J. -- A driver who made a U-turn at the George Washington Bridge was carrying a loaded gun while pretending to be a police officer, said authorities who arrested her.
