Adam Sarkisian, 26, was arguing with the woman when he suddenly grabbed her by the sweatshirt, yanked her into his 2008 Dodge Charger and sped off on Oak Street around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, June 25, Police Capt. Smoky Holiday Fire Doused Off Route 46 Firefighters doused a smoky July 4th blaze behind an industrial building in Hasbrouck Heights. Massive plumes of smoke could be seen for miles after the fire broke out in wooden pallets of foam insulation and spread to a section of the building off westbound Route 46 between Routes 17 and 80 near the Hilton Hotel shortly before 8 p.m. No injuries were reported. Hasbrouck Heights Police Nab Texas Fugitive Hasbrouck Heights police nabbed a fugitive from Texas after receiving an emergency call from a local hotel. Varri Special Harrison, 27, was taken into custody on aggravated domestic violence assault charges Sunday after police were called to the Hilton Hotel off Polifly Road between Routes 17 and 80, records show. They then discovered a fugitive warrant out of Dallas County for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Harrison remained held Tuesday in the Bergen County Jail pending extradition proceedings.

Photos: Electrical Explosion Draws Large Response To Hasbrouck Heights Hilton Firefighters quickly doused an electrical fire that followed a small explosion Friday morning at the Hilton Hotel in Hasbrouck Heights. No injuries were at the evacuated hotel just off northbound Route 17. The explosion occurred in a basement electrical panel at the rear loading area just after 7 a.m., instantly drawing firefighters from Hackensack, Hasbrouck Heights, Little Ferry, Moonachie South Hackensack and Wood-Ridge, responders said.
