Retired State Trooper Suffered Medical Episode Before Route 287 Crash: Family, Police
The driver who died in a crash on Route 287 in Morris County this week has been identified as retired New Jersey State Trooper Kevin Hanrahan.
Hanrahan, 61, was heading north near milepost 31.4 in Harding Township around 9:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, when he ran off the road to the left and struck a metal guardrail, New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said.
Hanrahan was rushed to a hospital, where he later died, Marchan said. Hanrahan's son, Kevin, said he had suffered a medical episode.

39 Cocaine Bags, Cash Seized From DWI Lodi Driver In Harding Motor Vehicle Stop, Police Say
Cocaine, marijuana and cash were seized from a drunk driver during a motor vehicle stop in Harding Township, authorities said.
A Harding Township police officer stopped a car for several motor vehicle violations at the intersection of Tempe Wick Road and Mt. Kemble Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Harding Township police said in a news release.
A search of the vehicle began after the driver, Brian Delgado, 34, of Lodi, told police he had a small amount of marijuana in the car, authorities said.
