Handgun Seized, 5 Burglars Captured Following Wild Pursuit Through Wyckoff, Franklin Lakes Five burglars are in custody after a pursuit from Franklin Lakes into Wyckoff, which resulted in the vehicle overturning early Saturday, Aug. 24, authorities said. A Birch Road resident called 911 reporting two people inside her home, Franklin Lakes Police Capt. Robert Grassi said. Responding officers located a suspect vehicle, a white 2016 Ford Fusion, near the home and tried to conduct a motor vehicle stop. Assault Suspect, 29, Subdued By Officers After Foot Chase In Lyndhurst, Police Say A 29-year-old assault suspect is facing charges in Lyndhurst after leading officers on a foot pursuit then becoming combative during the arrest, police said. Lyndhurst Lt. Paul Haggerty and Officer Michael Carrino were called to a dispute on the 200 block of Orient Way around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 20, Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said in a release.
