Amazon Just Opened 3 New Jersey Delivery Stations
Amazon opened three new delivery stations last month in New Jersey. Delivery stations power the last mile of Amazon’s order process and help speed up deliveries for customers. The late July openings include: A 464,000-square-foot facility at 600 Washington Ave., in Carlstadt, A 340,000-square-foot facility at 10 Princess Road in Lawrence Township A 289,000-square-foot facility at 8 B Court South in Edison. Amazon Opens Another North Jersey Facility This Week
Amazon is opening another new delivery station in North Jersey this week. The 640,000 square-foot building Newark facility on Delancy Street will create 100 full- and part-time jobs all paying at least $15 an hour. Hundreds of driver opportunities for Amazon’s Delivery Service Partners and Amazon Flex drivers are also opening up. Amazon Hiring 6,900 More New Jersey Workers As Online Shopping Booms
Amazon plans to hire another 6,900 workers in New Jersey, the Seattle-based company announced Monday. The mostly full-time Garden State jobs are among 100,000 new jobs the online-shopping behemoth expects create nationwide, Amazon said. The new employees will be placed in one of the company's 14 fulfillment and sorting centers in the state and three delivery stations. Amazon reported record profits during the most recent quarter of 2020 ending June 30 as more shoppers relied on Amazon during the COVID-19 pandemic to buy groceries and supplies.
