Sheriff Richard Berdnik said his detectives were watching as Gisela Arroyo Valentin, 35, pulled up to a targeted location in a Honda Civic and David Ventura, 39, of Paterson got out in the middle of the afternoon. Rockland Father Charged In Beating Of 5-Month-Old Now Hospitalized A man is behind bars for beating a 5-month-old baby, breaking ribs and causing a skull fracture, according to the Spring Valley Police Department. Jonathan Castillo was arrested after Child Protective Services were notified by officials at Westchester Medical Center that the child had been admitted with serious injuries, Spring Valley Police Officer Matthew Gail said.  A joint investigation by the police department and protective services was initiated and ended with the arrest of Castillo, said Gail.  He was charged with assault and criminal contempt and is being held on $500,000 bail.
