Services Set For Wyckoff Athlete Ben Landel, 18 WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Services have been set for Wyckoff athlete Ben Landel, who died after a months-long battle with cancer on Jan. 25 at 18 years old. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 2 at St. Elizabeth's RC Church on Wyckoff Ave. A funeral mass celebrating Landel's life will be Feb. 3 at 10 a.m., at the church. Landel was born in Ridgewood to Rob and Tricia Landel on Nov. 12, 1999.  Diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive cancer (NUT Midline Carcinoma), Landel spent the last nine months of his life fighting. Teammates Mourn Death Of Wyckoff Soccer Player Ben Landel, 18 WYCKOFF, N.J. -- The Ramapo High School community is mourning the loss of standout athlete Ben Landel of Wyckoff. The soccer and track star died Jan. 25 after a battle with cancer at 18 years old after a months-long battle with a rare and powerful cancer. Teammates announced  his passing on a GoFundMe page for Landel, which had raised nearly $43,000 as of Friday afternoon. "Ben taught us all so much during this fight," they wrote.
