! Car Thieves Elude NJ Owner, Crash High-Priced Bentley
Two thieves crashed a luxury SUV worth upwards of $250,000 shortly after stealing it from a Wayne residence, authorities said. The owner called police from another vehicle while chasing the bandits who snatched the 2021 Bentley Bentayga from Massola Drive shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday, Detective Capt. Dan Daly said. The owner lost sight of the vehicle after it turned onto Hamburg Turnpike off Berdan Avenue but gave a dispatcher enough information to point police in the right direction, Daly said. : Mexican Restaurant Casa Don Manuel Replaces Wayne's Paris Inn
Mexican eatery Casa Don Manuel has newly opened its doors in the location formerly home to the Paris Inn in Wayne, reports say. The property was purchased in an auction and transformed into a high-end restaurant, which opened on June 16. With the opening comes about $150,000 worth of interior renovations, NorthJersey.com reports. Wayne Crash With Jeep Sends Sedan Driver To Hospital
The driver of a sedan had to be extricated before being hospitalized following a collision with a Jeep Tuesday night in Wayne. Both vehicles had to be towed following the crash at Alps Road and Warren Place around 7:30 p.m. The extent of the female driver's injuries couldn't be determined. Wayne Police: DWI Driver 2x Legal Limit Deliberately Bangs Head, Threatens To Blame Them
A Wayne driver who registered twice the legal alcohol limit had to be pulled out of the path of oncoming traffic, then deliberately banged her head inside a patrol car while threatening to accuse the arresting officers of assaulting her, authorities said. One burglar claimed he’d been carjacked while another fought furiously with police who chased him down after the pair broke into a Wayne home and stole a TV, jewelry and watches, authorities said.
