Authorities ID Teen Shot Dead At Newark Halloween Party
A 17-year-old East Orange boy was shot and killed at a Newark Halloween party Sunday night, authorities said. Mouctar Toure suffered one gunshot wound at a large Halloween Party at an apartment building on 4th Avenue around 11:45 p.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said. He was rushed to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:06 a.m., Monday. Nov. 1. Police in Newark are seeking a 22-year-old man reported missing for more than a week. Bryan Olano was last seen on June 16 at approximately 9:30 p.m., on the 300 block of North 7th Street, walking towards 4th Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said. He’s described as Hispanic, with a light complexion, 5’11” tall and 175 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and was wearing a Steelers hat, yellow t-shirt, black pants and yellow and black sneakers. Authorities are searching for a man involved in an armed Newark robbery. The incident occurred on the 200 block of Garside Street on Monday, Dec. 9, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said. The suspect ran south down Garside Street then west on 4th Avenue, Ambrose said. He is described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall, 180 pounds with a dark complexion. He was wearing a blue coat, black jeans and black and white Jordan sneakers at the time of the incident, according to police.
