The current boiler experienced an electrical breakdown in January due to water damage and could malfunction again due to faulty circuit boards that are no longer in production, The Record reported.

Business administrator Michael Solokas told trustees a new high-efficiency boiler could cost $450,000, with the money coming from surplus state aid or capital reserves, said The Record.

The Board of Education's next meeting is Tuesday.
