Franklin Lakes Reviewing Sidewalk Snow Shoveling Ordinance

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. – Police Chief Carmine Pezzuti and Patrolman Denny Knubel have recommended a snow-shoveling ordinance that would require all owners of property that border sidewalks to clear snow within 24 hours of a snowstorm or one hour before school opens, reports NorthJersey.com.

The Borough Council’s current ordinance requires only property owners near a school to follow the current time frames in place for snow removal, according to the report.
