David M. Hayman, 37, of Oradell was being held on $250,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged two counts of sexual assault and five of child endangerment — occurring between 2003-2013 following his arrest yesterday.

Two of the girls were 16 when the married Hayman began exchanging the videos, Molinelli said. Two others were also 16 and another 15 when he began exchanging sexually explicit chats with them, the prosecutor said.

All were members of a youth group at the Cornerstone Christian Church, where Hayman was pastor of youth and children’s ministries “until his employment was terminated [in May 2014] when the church learned of inappropriate text messages he sent,” Molinelli said.

A subsequent investigation by members of the prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit and the Wyckoff Police Department led to “the discovery of additional victims,” he said.

“All of the alleged crimes occurred while Hayman was employed at the church,” Molinelli said. “Electronic equipment was seized from his former place of employment and his residence, with the assistance of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit.”
