This time, Tyler Speziale was being held on $1,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.

Speziale was released without bail to his father’s custody on Nov. 27, after Officer Kyle Ferreira found his asleep, his head on the steering wheel of his car, while stopped at a green light at the intersection of Godwin Avenue and Franklin Avenue before dawn that day. READ MORE….

Last year, Speziale eluded police for nearly a week before surrendering to face several drug possession charges — including for amphethamine and prescription medications — as well as counts of criminal mischief with damage.

They found that Speziale “had been in an argument with his parents, during which he caused considerable damage” to their car, as well as doors and windows in their house, Police Chief Benjamin C. Fox said at the time.

Speziale then took off on foot, the chief said.

The officers found pot and various other drugs during a search of his bedroom, along with syringes, a digital scale and baggies ordinarily used for packaging and selling narcotics on the street, Fox said.

A warrant was then issued for Speziale’s arrest.

He surrendered at Bergen Regional Medical Center in Paramus, then posted $25,000 bail 10 days after the arrest — after it was reduced from $150,000 — and was released from the Bergen County Jail.
