Officers grabbed 21-year-old Melissa A. Menifield of West 122nd Street as she fled the Franklin Avenue CVS Tuesday afternoon, Police Benjamin C. Fox said this afternoon.

Menifield was working for ring by hitting different stores with the phony plastic, buying gift cards and other items and then bringing them to her employers for a fee, the chief said.

Wyckoff police charged her with fraudulent use of a credit card, theft, and criminal attempt.

Menifield, who has a previous arrest history for counterfeiting out of Westport, CT, was released pending further court action.
