Route 208 floodwaters in Wyckoff briefly trap motorists

The occupants of two cars stuck in deepening water on Route 208 in Wyckoff early this evening escaped unharmed after flashflood waters eventually receded, Police Chief Benjamin C. Fox said.

A stretch of highway remained closed for the time being, after the water crested at more than two feet before receding.
