Wyckoff police began investigating the bizarre vandalism after responding to the Burma Road home just after 11 o’clock last night, Police Chief Benjamin C. Fox said.

The vandals apparently used a chainsaw to cut down the 20-foot, 8-inch-thick tree, Fox said.

They then threw logs through the back window of a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta that was parked in the driveway, damaging the interior as well as the window, the chief said.

They also apparently threw logs at the taillights, damaging them, he said.
