New Lodi PD narcotics unit arrests alleged Garfield dealer

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: The Lodi Police Department’s new narcotics unit arrested a 21-year-old Garfield man today after they said they caught him making several drug deals the past two weeks.

Edwin A. Rodriguez was being held on $35,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail after his Elizabeth Street home was raided.

He’s charged with several counts involving drug possession with the intent to distribute near a school.

Unit members and Garfield detectives executed a search warrant today that turned up two ounces of marijuana, $680 in cash, a scale used to weigh the drugs and paraphernalia, Detective Capt. Donald Scorzetti told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Charges were pending from Garfield.
