It began just after 9 p.m. Friday, when 29-year-old Jaime Ratowsky of Suffern was stopped on Route 208 and charged with marijuana possession, Franklin Lakes Police Capt. John Bakelaar said.
A trio of arrests followed Sunday.
The first came just after 2:30 p.m., when police took 39-year-old Dylan St. John of Hawthorne into custody on pot possession charges following a Franklin Lake Road stop, Bakelaar said Tuesday.
Two followed in rapid succession, both involving wanted defendants:
A stop on Ewing Avenue at 11:03 p.m. led to the arrest of Ilal Ahmed, 26, of Paterson on an outstanding warrant out of the North Haledon, the captain said.
A stop on Route 287 at 11:11 p.m. led to the arrest of William Green, 43, of Baltimore, on an outstanding warrant out of Newark, he said.
Two more 208 stops on Labor Day produced two more arrests.
Shameka Wells, 28, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant out of West Milford just after 8 p.m., Bakelaar said.
Edson Marcellus, also 28, of Hempstead, Long Island was stopped just after 11 p.m. and charged with speeding, drivng with a suspended license and marijuana possession, the captain said.
