Franklin Lakes Police Charge Mahwah Motorist With Selling Insulin Syringe

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. – A Mahwah man was busted selling an insulin syringe, Franklin Lakes police said Thursday.

Ahmad Abbassi, 59, was charged with illegal prescription drug – a Novolog Flexpen syringe filled with insulin – after a traffic stop Tuesday night on Franklin Avene, Capt. John Bakelaar said.

The kit ordinarily retails for about $125.

Abbassi was issued a summons and released pending a court hearing.
