Franklin Lakes Police Bust Upstate NY Women At Ball Field On Drug Charges

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. -- Franklin Lakes police investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle at a local ball field on July 4th arrested a female couple from upstate New York on drug charges.

Officers who checked out the car parked at McBride Field on Franklin Lake Road found Nellie Sequin, 37, and Shannon Clay, 35, with a hypodermic needle, as well as clonazepam and the pain killer buprenorphine hydrochloride, Capt. John Bakelaar said Wednesday.

Both were released pending a hearing on drug charges.

Sgt. Andrew Cacciatore and Officers Dennis Hill and Richard Osenbruck investigated.
