Derick Gonzalez also was violating the hours of operation for a probationary driver when Officer James Economou stopped him just after 1 a.m. Wednesday, Detective Lt. John Bakelaar said.

Gonzalez was released pending an upcoming Municipal Court appearance on charges of marijuana possession with the intent to distribute the drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also received summonses for careless driving, having drugs in the car, making an unsafe lane change, failing to signal and violating the state’s probationary driver provisions, Bakelaar said.
