Franklin Lakes Homes Burglarized: Same Block, Same MO

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. -- Two Franklin Lakes neighbors both had their homes burglarized by someone who broke in through a rear basement window and headed straight for the bedrooms, police said Monday.

One Cheyenne Drive resident reported a break-in after 10 a.m. and the other after 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, Capt. John Bakelaar said.

The Bergen County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence, Bakelaar said, adding that the homeowners were compiling an inventory of stolen valuables.
