The Nissan’s driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, which mounted a curb, knocked down a light pole, drove through a wall of shrubbery, and finally came to a stop in a muddy field.
Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes police officers assisted the elderly woman from her vehicle and into a waiting police car.
There were no other occupants.
A flatbed towed the SUV from the scene.
