Boy, 16, Stable After Being Struck By Car Trick-Or-Treating In Wyckoff

WYCKOFF, N.J. -- A 16-year-old Franklin Lakes boy was listed in stable condition after being struck by a car while trick-or-treating with friends in Wyckoff on Halloween, authorities said.

No summonses were issued, although an investigation was continuing, Police Chief Benjamin C. Fox said.

The boy was crossing Wyckoff Avenue at Hartung Drive at 8:43 p.m. when he was struck by a 2014 Acura driven by a 66-year-old Wyckoff woman, Police Chief Benjamin C. Fox said.

The Wyckoff Volunteer Ambulance Corps took the boy to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson with internal and back injuries, Fox said.

No summonses were issued to the driver, although an investigation was continuing, the chief said.
