Myrna Reed, 78, Wyckoff Resident

WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Myrna Reed, a Wyckoff resident who most recently lived at Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains, died Saturday, Jan. 30. She was 78.

Born in Washington, Pa., Reed lived most of her life in Pleasant Hills, Pa., before moving to New Jersey two years ago.

Reed loved to travel and enjoyed her retirement, spending time with her family. She was an active member of the Bible study group at Cedar Crest. She attended Advent Lutheran Church in Wyckoff and was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Pleasant Hills.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, George Reed; daughter Bethel Borgeson and her husband Roy of Wyckoff; grandchildren Hannah Haas, Annie Borgeson and Henry Borgeson; Godson Terry Syrek and Heather; and great-nephew Luke Syrek.

Reed was predeceased by her son Bradford Reed.

Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Advent Lutheran Church, 777 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff. Interment will take place Saturday at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Pittsburgh, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Advent Lutheran Church.
