Dorothy Diffendal, 90, Wyckoff Resident

WYCKOFF, N.J. – Dorothy Diffendal, of Wyckoff, died Tuesday, June 14. She was 90.

She was born in Chicago, and had been a Wyckoff resident since 1965. She was an active member of St. Elizabeth’s Parish, a volunteer at Valley Hospital and an avid bridge player. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was the wife of the late Thomas Diffendal; mother of Peggy Graham and her husband, Todd, of Wyckoff, John Diffendal and his wife, Andrea, of Bradenton, Fla., Pete Diffendal and his wife, Debbie, of Marblehead, Mass.; grandmother of Megan Graham of Tallahassee, Fla., Courtney Graham of Durham, N.C., and Rachel and Thomas Diffendal of Marblehead, Mass.

The family will have a memorial celebration of her life at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Church, Wyckoff, with Mass immediately following at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or The Fisher House, in support of military families.
