Ante 'Tony' Baresich, 81, Of Wyckoff

WYCKOFF, N.J. — Ante “Tony” Baresich, 81, of Wyckoff, died Sept. 25.

He was born Sept. 27, 1934 in Diklo, Croatia. He came to the United States in 1959 in search of a better life.

He worked as vice president and plant manager of DeSaussure Equipment Co. in Maywood for 40 years until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening and being in his yard.

He is survived by his wife, Svetka; children, Nancy Zanki and her husband Nick and Jerry Baresich and his wife Noelle; grandsons, Tyler Zanki, Jake, Max, and Trey Baresich; granddaughter, Alexandra Zanki; and sister, Milka Miletic.

He was predeceased by his brother, Josip Baresic; and sister, Ivana Zivkovic.

Visiting will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth’s RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the James A. McFaul Environmental Center, 150 Crescent Ave. Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Make checks payable to the County of Bergen and in the memo line note; Environmental Center Trust Fund.
