Andrea 'Andy' Stockinger, 55, Franklin Lakes Resident

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. -- Andrea "Andy" Stockinger, of Franklin Lakes, died on Wednesday, March 30. She was 55.

Born in Newark, Stockinger Andy lived in Parsippany before moving to Franklin Lakes, where she raised her thee children. "She dedicated her time to Ricky, Jackie, and Chrissy, by shuttling them to sports, school, and clubs," according to information from the funeral home. "Andrea was a planner, who loved to be involved in planning school events for her children."

She loved entertaining friends -- and sent hand-drawn, cartoon invitations for her extravagant parties. She enjoyed cooking and lounging on the beach, adored dogs, and was an avid shopper. "She always looked for the best in people, and was loved by everyone who had the opportunity to meet her."

Stockinger is survived by her children, Ricky, Jackie and Chrissy; sisters Judith Fisher and Patricia Dunphey; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Lucy and Holly. She was predeceased by her parents.

Visiting hours will be from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday and Monday, April 3-4, at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, in Wyckoff. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 787 Franklin Lakes Rd., in Franklin Lakes. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, in Manahawkin.
