A Wii U, Xbox One and Playstation 4 can be found in the basement of the library. Wyckoff long held a tradition of video game fun.

"The kids are diehards," Teen Librarian Barbara Weber said.

The previous versions, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Wii, are still there but the newer systems took the spotlight for now, Weber said.

Around 10 teens competed in a Mario Kart 8 tournament Thursday to win Gamestop gift cards. The library also offers open gaming nights for teens twice a month and other tournaments.

"It's about competition," Weber said. "They love it."
