According to Ramsey Mayor Deidre Dillon, Bergen is one of three counties in the state without deer control services at the county level. While it is unknown how many deer live in the borough’s 5.5 square miles, officials believe the number has swelled in recent years, northjersey.com said.
Of the 13 towns in the Northwest Bergen Mayors Association, so far Allendale and Upper Saddle River are in support of a program. Mahwah, Midland Park, Waldwick, Ramsey, Glenn Rock, Ho-Ho-Kus, Ridgewood and Saddle River are also part of the mayor’s association, northjersey.com said.
