On Sunday, this Oakland shelter will be offering Valentine's cookies for pups, as well as reduced adoption fees.

To celebrate Valentine's Day, the shelter will offer 20 percent off adoption fees -- and pet-friendly cookies. It also will offer Valentine donation cards to "benefit our beautiful cats and dogs, and impress your loved ones with your giving heart."

The adoption event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The shelter is at 2 Shelter Lane, Oakland. For more information, visit its Facebook page or website.
