The Oakland Carnival, sponsored by the Oakland Public Events Committee, was held in late June and offered guests rides, food and fun and games.

Later in September, Russo and several local businesses sponsored the American Pride Classic Car Show in of support New Jersey’s Mission of Honor for Cremains of American Veterans. From classic American muscle to off-road beasts, visitors were treated to an evening of music and fun for the whole family.

Most recently, Russo welcomed Santa Claus to town as one of many Toys for Tots donation centers across Oakland. In addition to seasonal snacks, volunteers loaded truckloads of gifts on the Toys for Tots train, for distribution to children in need.
