Then the upcoming event featuring “Keep This, Toss That!” with Jamie Novak, professional organizer and home blogger on Wednesday, Sept. 28, might offer the kick needed to get started.

Residents are invited to join Novak for a laugh-out-loud look at the common challenges to getting organized during the free event at 1 p.m. at the Wyckoff YMCA.

Be prepared to smile as one or more of these excuses hit home. Walk away with tips on how to clean your closets, make piles of paperwork disappear and prep for a stress-free holiday season.
