The carnival will feature rides, food, games and other entertainment. You can buy wristbands for unlimited rides for $25, and $30 for Saturday, at the ticket booth.

You can also buy the wristbands in advance, for $20 cash, either at Oakland Town Hall, or at ReMax Traditions RE, 383 Ramapo Valley Rd., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays or 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends.

One event flyer notes, "Come experience the Rolls Royce of port-a-potties on site, with air conditioning, luxury lighting and free Wi-Fi up to 20 feet away." Yes, really.

Here are the carnival hours:

  • Wednesday, June 15 -- 6-10 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 16 -- 6-10 p.m.
  • Friday, June 17 -- 6-11 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 18 -- 5-11 p.m.

There will be fireworks at 9:45 p.m. on Saturday -- and the rides will be closed, for safety reasons, during the fireworks. The shuttle buses will run from 5:30-11:30 on Friday and 4:30-11:30 on Saturday.

The carnival's games of chance will be run by -- and benefit -- the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge.
