Midland Park Rotarians Welcome Wyckoff Psychologist

WYCKOFF, N.J. -- A local psychologist will discuss Bergen County's volunteer medical facility at a Rotary meeting on Thursday.

Ken Herman of Wyckoff, an 89-year-old clinical psychologist and author, will be the featured speaker at The Rotary Club of Wyckoff/Midland Park.

The author of “Secrets from the Sofa: A Psychologist’s Guide to Achieving Personal Peace” will discuss the Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative, a facility offering healthcare for the uninsured.

The privately-funded BVMI is moving to a larger facility in Hackensack at the corner of Essex and State streets, the Daily Voice reported in July

The talk takes place 7:30-8:30 a.m. at The Brick House, 179 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff.

Herman treated patients for 50 years at The Psychological Service Center in Teaneck and now volunteers his time.
